Discovering the magic of Mahahual

Mahahual, located in Quintana Roo it´s a picturesque Caribbean town where you can breathe an atmosphere of calm and that is still a secret for many.

It has beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters and gentle waves where you can experience true relaxation contemplating the gentle sway of the waves; or if you prefer action, go into the sea doing kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, diving or some other type of aquatic activity.

Every trip to Mahahual must begin at its picturesque boardwalk, which extends 1,700 meters. Tour it at dusk by bicycle to contemplate the sunset, the sea, and the colorful wooden houses that are representative of this place.

60 kilometers from Mahahual is Xcalak, a small fishing village where time seems to stop. This destination is characterized by being an excellent place for those who seek to be in contact with nature, carrying out activities such as sport fishing, diving and snorkeling; since its waters hide the Xcalak Reefs National Park; which offers a landscape with caves, caverns and narrow coral passages.

Some of the species that you can admire during your dive include catfish, sea turtles, dolphins, snapper fish and if you are lucky, even the occasional manatee, which is also possible to observe when diving in the Banco Chinchorro Biosphere Reserve, — another of the places to visit in Mahahual—a Protected Natural Area that is one of the best places in the entire Mexican Caribbean for diving because it has different scenarios where you can do this activity, highlighting its colorful coral formations and the more than 69 sunken ships that lie on its sea floor, which date from the 16th century to the 20th century.

She broke Pegula´s serve five times and won the final 11 games in a 59-minute slaughter to capture her first WTA Finals title in a match delayed by a day due to rain.

"I want to thank my team who have been with me for the whole season," Swiatek said during the trophy ceremony.
